David Michael - "The Ferryboat Harpist"
Romantic & Enchanting!

Celtic harpist David Michael
specializes in original, romantic world-fusion music and
improvisation. He grew up in Seattle and has been playing
stringed instruments for over 50 years, starting with cello.
In 1983, he realized he'd been "trying to make a guitar sound
like a harp" for many years until finally deciding to get a
harp ... which quickly became his forte. In the last 17 years
he became something of an institution for his impromptu
concerts aboard Washington State ferries, performing free for
over 50,000 visitors a year. David performs widely on harp in
the Western U.S. and Northern Europe. The beauty of the
Pacific Northwest is key to his musical inspiration.

Heather Ruiz - Classical and Jazz
Vocalist

| Since the age of 3, Heather
Renee Ruiz knew she wanted to be a singer. The power that
comes out of her petite frame combined with her natural
musicality and beautiful tone has carried her far. For years,
she traveled around the Puget Sound with Dance Theatre NW,
which gave her the opportunity to sing with a live orchestra.
One orchestra member once said, “She has the voice of an
angel!” She also made several trips to New York dancing,
singing, and impressing Broadway producers with her natural
talent. This talent helped her win first place out of 30,000
contestants at a local singing contest in 2005.

Synergy Dance
Company is a non-profit dance company established in 1998
and is directed by Jennifer Dean. The Dance Company was
established to enrich the lives of the members of our
community while providing children and adults with the
opportunity to be part of an organization that will teach
the art of dance and performance in a fun and positive yet
disciplined environment. The program promotes self-esteem
and self-discipline while providing an outlet for creation
and self-expression. Our intention is to endow each student
with the knowledge, skill and discipline required to fully
reach their individual potential, in dance and in life.
Company Members must be willing to commit themselves to the
art by disciplining themselves in their classes and to work
hard every minute of their dance class. Company Members
receive extensive training from Academy of Dance's highly
accomplished and professional staff. Our Directors are
committed to fulfilling this mission while promoting
teamwork and respect for the art in a positive yet
